¿Quiénes somos? Who are we?

P’URHÉ significa gente o persona, y se refiere a cada uno de los integrantes del pueblo Purhépecha, lo que implica una autoafirmación como seres humanos y como pueblo en general.
​
Somos un colectivo integrado por personas de distintas disciplinas ligadas a la escena artístico cultural contemporánea, con el objetivo principal de promover programas de residencia artístico cultural en Michoacán.
​
P'urhé se complace en trabajar en colaboración con la Sociedad Bhor, en India. Esta alianza surgió de compartir la experiencia Pecah: Programa de Intercambio en la Cultura y Artes de los Himalayas (India). Durante esta estancia, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestros países tienen mucho que ofrecer en términos de arte y cultura, y de que compartimos muchas similitudes en lo que se refiere a ideas y sensibilidad, alma y sueños.
De este primer encuentro, surgirán infinidad de proyectos, pues tenemos sueños en común. Es sabido que India y México comparten acuerdos de colaboración desde hace décadas, y esta alianza rendirá frutos importantes, para ofrecer una Residencia Artística Indo-Mexicana.

VISIÓN
Promover el arte y la cultura del pueblo Purépecha del estado de Michoacán, a través de un programa de intercambio simbiótico, dirigido a artistas nacionales e internacional.
​
MISIÓN
· Difundir la herencia cultural del pueblo Purépecha mediante la impartición de talleres en distintas disciplinas, visitas a lugares de relevancia artístico - cultural, asistencia a festivales culturales.
· Por otro lado, los asistentes compartirán los recursos culturales de sus propios contextos, así como su quehacer artístico personal, a través de charlas y talleres cortos.

VALORES
· Inclusión, apertura y respeto. Fomentar una atmósfera de profundo respeto a la integridad individual y diversidad socio – cultural de los participantes. A partir del respeto a las diferencias es posible encontrar las similitudes y generar un aprendizaje integral.
· Diversidad. Teniendo la conciencia del valor e importancia que tienen el contexto geográfico, la procedencia étnica, y la sensibilidad artística tradicional y contemporánea, en la formación de la identidad individual y cultural, estamos seguros del gran aporte que un programa de intercambio intercultural puede significar a los participantes.
· Crear un ambiente de confianza y hermandad entre los participantes del programa.

P’URHÉ means people and it refers to each of the individuals of the Purhépecha Culture, which is a reaffirmation both as human beings and as a part of a social group. P’urhépecha people is the most important ethnic group of the state of Michoacán, in México.
​
This project raises from a group of people linked to the contemporary artistic and cultural scene. Our main objective is to promote programs of residency for artists on the state of Michoacán.
​
P’huré is delighted to work along with an Indian team: Bhor Society. This alliance came up from sharing Pecah Program of Exchange in Culture and Arts of the Himalayas in India, in which, not only we came to realize both our countries have so much to offer in terms of arts and culture, but we are also very similar when it comes to sense and sensibility, soul and dreams.

From this first encounter, many projects will raise, since we share common dreams. It is not new that India and Mexico have established cooperation agreements before, and this program would be a fruitful alliance, by which, we can allure the rest of the world to participate into an Indo - Mexican art residency.

VISION
To promote the culture and arts of the Purhépecha people of the state of Michoacán, by means of a program of symbiotic exchange, engaged to national and international artists.

MISSION
· To spread the cultural heritage of the Purhépecha people through workshops focused on different artistic disciplines, visits to places on artistic-cultural relevance, and assistance to cultural festivals.
· To encourage participants to share the cultural resources of their own contexts, as well as their personal artistic production, through artist talks and short workshops.

VALUES
· Inclusion, openness and respect. To create an atmosphere of profound respect to the individual integrity and socio-cultural diversity of all participants. From respecting our differences it is possible to find things in common and gain an integral learning.
· Diversity. Being aware of the importance of geographic context, ethnic group, traditional and contemporary artistic sensibility, on the process of constructing an individual and cultural identity, we are sure of the big benefit a program of intercultural exchange can represent to the participants.
· To create an environment of trust and brotherhood among all participants of the program.
